Citrus County is 584 square miles of land and 189 square miles of water. The total area is 24.49% water. Rolling hills and naturally beautiful crystal clear springs, rivers, and lakes set us apart from other areas in the state. Most noteworthy, Citrus County is home to the largest herd of wintering manatees in the state.
